1-MCP has great effect in refreshing vegetables, flowers, and fruit. It can delay maturing and aging, keep hardness and brittleness, preserve firm color, flavor, odor and nutritional ingredient. It can sustain disease resistance of plant, relieve rot and physiological disease, reduce evaporation of water, and prevent wilting.
1-MCP antistaling agent, solid powder, active ingredient is 1-MCP gas, working concentration is low, disposal place should be airtight. The optimal dealing time to fumigate is picking after 1-7 days. For example, Kiwi fruit is treated with 1-MCP, and then refreshed time of kiwi fruit can be stored in six months or more. 1 gram 1-MCP can be used in fruit and vegetable of 15-35 M3, quantity of different plants is not the same.
Experiments, made by experts of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other universities, verify that 1-MCP anti stalling agent can be applied effectively in refreshing, storage and transport of following fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Fruits: apple, pear, peach, apricot, plum, kiwi fruit, persimmon, nectarine, banana, netted melon, cherry, mango, papaya, mandarin, pineapple, pomegranate, fig, etc.
Vegetable: tomato, broccoli, cucumber, bitter melon, garlic, foldleaf daylily root, Chinese mahogany, parsley, Brassica oleracea, celery, onion,potato, carrot, green pepper, pakchoi, lettuce, mustard,etc.
Flowers: rose, lily,carnation, orchid,locus, tulip, pansy, bellflower, Alstroemeria, Antirrhinum majus, pink, swollen furuncle, etc.
